For more than five decades, I dedicated my career to helping people improve their quality of life and support their healing process through my work as a physical therapist. Over the past 20 years, I created Parkinson’s rehabilitation programs driven by my passion to help patients move with greater confidence and well-being. That same passion, care, and attention now guides my work behind the camera.
When an unforeseen event caused me to step away from the sport of cycling, which I loved, I began looking for a new way to channel my energy and passion. I picked up a small SONY camera from Costco, pointed it at the world around me—and something clicked, literally and figuratively. I discovered a creative outlet that felt immediately meaningful.
Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. Following the rescue of my Samson, a Hovawart, which is a rare breed originating from the mountains of Old East Germany, I discovered an international community built around a shared love for these remarkable animals. Upon flying to the Netherlands to bring home my second Hovawart puppy, named Zarah, I experienced her running through the tulip fields. In that moment I knew I wanted to spend my time capturing moments just like that one—the connection, the joy, and the story behind the eyes.
Now retired, I am fully embracing what I feel called to do: photograph dogs and the people who love them. Whether it is a quiet portrait that reflects your dog’s personality, an action image full of life and movement, or a session that celebrates the bond between your pet and your family. I bring the same care and attention to your dog that I brought to my patients.
I photograph with a Sony A1, edit in Adobe, and remain committed to continually learning and refining my craft. Based in Northwest Georgia, I offer dog photography sessions for families who want beautiful, meaningful images of the companions they love. If that sounds like what you are looking for, I would love to meet you and your dog.
